About Gate Science

Gate Science is an innovative medical device company committed to transforming the patient experience after surgery. The team is led by co-founders who have started six successful companies and launched nine products in the orthopedic and pain space.

Gate Science has developed a disruptive, single solution with RELAY, a connected multimodal device that provides opioid-free pain relief for the entire postoperative period, lasting up to 28 days. The combination of nerve block and neurostimulation in one simple platform sets RELAY apart, ensuring patients experience uninterrupted relief throughout their recovery journey.

In future generations, Gate Keeper will connect RELAY to other clinical systems through the cloud, providing a current and complete picture of the patient’s progress to the physician. Development of large data sets documenting the patient experience potentiates the digital control of treatment.  

Market

Our initial focus lies with the millions of orthopedic surgeries performed each year, prioritizing the most painful procedures: shoulder, elbow, hand, knee, hip, and foot and ankle. Our technology has future applications in spine surgery, soft tissue surgery, and chronic pain.

We are actively investigating therapies aimed at large underserved markets, including:
